Job Summary

Meter Reader/Field Technician is responsible for reading meters and recording water consumption, performing maintenance tasks such as cleaning meter boxes and removing vegetation impeding access to meters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading Meters:


• • Take readings of meter dials using a hand-held unit or laptop computer.


• • Record consumption data accurately and in a timely manner.

• Maintenance Tasks:

The primary responsibility of this position includes regular visits to locations along established routes to take readings from existing infrastructures. The role requires ensuring that infrastructure remains safe, functional, keeping it clear of debris which could hinder function.
This entails engaging performance during walk/drives conducted by utility staff who take notice regularly before anything gets out.
The worker performs manual work taking registrations on their hand held units/laptop computers checking results thereof without fail .All other duties will be needed sometimes -keeping workplaces clean outside regularly possibly inside at times too-or anywhere necessary due high exposure working outdoors always everyday because physically requiring some physical exertion like walking around all day with vehicle occasionally! Moreover daily task involve visiting these places over certain route travel then carrying the following key activities throughout day
carrying appropriate safety equipment
Frequently interact often changing people one day..
