Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls with calm, professional communication. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with customer-focused service while documenting observations and sharing updates with your team. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hospital setting.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with site leadership and/or local responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, waiting rooms, and parking areas, as well as exterior grounds and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and controlled areas, check credentials as required, and help to direct visitors to appropriate destinations while maintaining a professional presence.
Complete detailed reports of observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate security-related concerns to supervisors and/or the appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
Hospital vaccines are required.
One or more of the following is required: 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor and/or manager experience or 3+ years' security experience.
Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
Be at least 21+ years of age.
Hospital: Restrain individuals is required.
2+ years' service in healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
Security experience of 5+ years is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
