    The role of a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is to execute company strategies at the customer site.

    In this job, you will work closely with customer on daily basis to discover process development issues using state-of-the-art instrumentation along with first principles of physics and engineering to identify new failure mechanisms in advanced memory processes.

    The job is challenging and semiconductor customers are demanding.

    Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler Arizona, San Jose and San Diego California, Wilton Connecticut, and Hillsboro Oregon.

    This is a night shift role (M-F 5.Routinely Monitor inline defect inspection or CD Metrology results, making sure data generated from HMI's EBI equipment is in good quality; verify tool status after preventative maintenance and major tool down incidence, and work with field service on image and inspection related troubleshooting.
    The scope of this responsibility includes proposing new functions, technical discussion and providing engineering testing and feedback, etc.

    Execute new product introductions and evaluations and run head-to-head competitions with competitor tools, working closely with technical support, product marketing, and R&D teams to secure a successful outcome.

    Drive up HMI tool's utilization through high quality recipe development, gap defect closure and in-depth technical engagement with customer defect and metrology teams.

    Support application activities of global customer Fabs, including gap defect detection, CIP implementation, recipes transfer & matching, etc.
    Develop new application use-cases and generate reports and BKMs to share with global application teams.
    Master's or PhD degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or other engineering fields along with
    A minimum of 4 years relevant work experience

    At least 4 years of relevant hands-on defect of metrology tool experience, creating recipes and troubleshooting defect inspection tools, or developing process equipment applications or systems.

    Demonstrated knowledge of semiconductor processing, solid-state device physics, and optics (ideally electron optics). Application of Problem Solving, Project Management and Quality Assurance methodologies
    Experience with DOE methodology, including analyzing data and image quality to optimize tool settings. for example familiarity with MATLAB, Python and/or JMP.
