    What You Will Do


    In this role you will work with Product Management to create development requirements to meet the objectives set forth by the product lead/manager.

    What analyses will be done?
    What will data architecture and data governance look like?
    Define level of redundancy, recoverability and scalability necessary to meet objectives vs cost?
    Discover and catalog the company's data assets?

    Requirements


    Select technology platforms for and design Data Lake/Data warehouse from ground up based on existing company data assets and requirements to enable data processing, storage, sharing/deployment, analytics.

    Design, develop and deploy ETL jobs.


    Examples:
    Develop batch ETL jobs to move data from JSON files in S3 buckets into data lake/warehouse such as Azure Data Factory
    Develop batch ETL jobs to move data from Google Firebase (NoSQL) to data lake/warehouse such as Azure Data Factory
    Develop ETL jobs to move relational Line of Business databases (mostly SQL Server) to data lake/warehouse such as Azure Data Factory
    Design, develop and deploy BI analyses and dashboards using tools such as PowerBI and Domo

    What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

    Experience with tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory or other tools necessary to build services as well as ability to select new tools necessary to meet requirements
    Experience with BI tools to analyze data in the data lake/data warehouse - Power BI or similar
    Experience with a variety of programming languages such as SQL/TSQL, Python, JavaScript, R

    Thorough Documentation:
    Exhibit proficiency in creating meticulous documentation. Your knack for detail-oriented documentation will be instrumental in maintaining clear and accurate records of processes and interactions.
    Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams

    It Would Be Great If You Have

    Experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, leveraging tools like Terraform
    Experience developing machine learning models

    About Your Location


    In a hybrid role, you will work with your manager to establish a mutually agreeable schedule for your time worked in the office based on the position and the business need.

    Typically hybrid positions are 1-3 days per week, or 20%-60% of the month in the office.

    About Our CTCT Division


    The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries, using technologies such as GPS, optical total stations, lasers and sonics.

    The products are used in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance.

    This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
