Job Outline

As a Senior Buyer, you are responsible for the procurement and management of goods and services, supporting the business needs via request for quotations, management of purchase orders and supplier performance management to contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage purchase orders for goods and services from quotation through to delivery and invoice payment.
• Prepare Post tender analysis and recommendations, Contribute and Lead Supplier Negotiations.
• Select Suppliers that best meet the needs of the business and are aligned with our values.
• Ensure the timely placement of Purchase Orders from requisitions, aligning Commitment dates from Suppliers to Stakeholder required dates.
• Support the prompt resolution of any questions / queries from Suppliers and manage changes.
• Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, vendors and contractors to support the needs of the business.
• Conduct spend analysis and benchmarking to ensure we achieve best value from suppliers.
• Lead and Support Supplier Engagements for key Suppliers and service providers.
• Ensure AX is up to date with accurate information gathered from the supply chain to support timely execution of Purchase Orders and accuracy of our SIOP process.
• Support Procurement Improvement Projects.
• Ensure Departmental and individual targets are met and satisfied.
• Ensure Compliance to business Processes and Procedures.

Manufacturing Procurement Experience.
Understanding of ERP Systems. Preferably AX.
Degree with Procurement Focus.
Experience of Purchasing in manufacturing.
Experience within a Manufacturing Organisation.
