    com is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry for a locum tenens job in Eastern, Virginia.

    A psych hospital is seeking a psychiatric nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
    While on assignment visit these sites or Virginia Beach to relax by the water
    At the facility, hospitalizations primarily involve acute adult patients in both male and female inpatient wards.

    In this role, the clinician will serve as a medical consultant to the attending psychiatrist/practitioner, working with both acute and chronic inpatient populations.

    The responsibilities include completing admission medical assessments, including history and physical examinations, mental status examinations, and entering admission orders.

    The clinician will also consult with authorized representatives/legal guardians on the patient's medical status and collaborate with attending psychiatric practitioners, providing DSM-5 diagnoses that are valid, complete, and supported by timely and appropriate assessments.

    The clinician will work closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
