- Track and manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
- Maintain organized document control systems for assigned projects.
- Coordinate daily with Superintendents and subcontractors to support schedule execution.
- Monitor project progress and help identify potential issues before they impact timelines.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Support project teams in keeping multiple projects running efficiently and on schedule.
- Help ensure clear communication between office staff, field teams, and vendors.
- Experience in construction coordination, project engineering, or assistant project management preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) preferred but not required.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to take ownership and grow within the role.

Their projects span commercial and residential construction, with a strong emphasis on hands-on coordination, clear communication between field and office teams, and keeping projects moving efficiently from planning through completion. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer to join their team in Union, New Jersey. This is an immediate hire and an excellent opportunity for someone who wants broad exposure to the full construction lifecycle while working closely with leadership and field operations.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces at once. You will play a key role in supporting project execution, maintaining documentation, and coordinating directly with Superintendents and subcontractors to ensure schedules stay on track.
Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer will help manage 2–4 active projects simultaneously from the office, providing coordination and administrative support to ensure successful delivery. This individual will serve as a key link between the field, subcontractors, and internal project team—helping maintain organization, accountability, and communication across all phases of construction.
