    Description

    As an engineering group lead within AEVEX Aerospace, you will be responsible for the supervision,development and tasking of a group of engineers who share your specific discipline along. Group Leadsare also valuable contributors to project goals within their discipline. Working across projects, group leadsensure that the right engineers are solving the right problems for specific programs and projects. Groupleads need to be experts in their field and have a passion for the hiring and development of engineers atall levels within their careers. This includes mentoring, training, and assignments, as well as performancereviews and career advancement.


    Essential Functions

    • Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
    • Supervise and manage assignments and career development of assigned staff.
    • Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
    • Oversees and contributes to project logistics and resource allocation.
    • Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce
      waste.
    • Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital
      investments.
    • Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies.
    • Attends trade shows and conferences and makes site visits to suppliers' facilities.
    • Advocates on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success.
    • Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors, seniormanagement and potential customers.
    • Maintains high-level expertise in their field or sector.
    • Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
    • Collaborates with other team leaders and departments.
    • Forges and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers.
    • Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].
    • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external businessassociates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policiesand practices.

    Education / Certifications:

    • BS in engineering required
    • Master's degree in engineering or MBA a plus
    • 4-5 years relevant work experience
    • 1-2 years management experience

    Physical Requirements:

    • Frequently required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment

    Security Clearance:

    • Ability to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
