The ADA oversees policy and procedures for student advancement including student grading committees and student progress committees throughout the curriculum.

The ADA is responsible for developing and maintaining systems to identify students whose performance does not need expected milestones and referring for appropriate intervention.

The ADA oversees the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) process.

The ADA develops the medical school strategy to implement and continuously improve systems to collect and use program evaluation data to identify areas for program improvement, design needed interventions, and measure the effectiveness of interventions.

The ADA is responsible for identifying, developing and monitoring processes to maintain adherence to accreditation standards and leading the school's accreditation processes and compliance with accrediting bodies (LCME and WASC).

The ADA oversees a Director of Student Assessment and Director of Program Evaluation and Education Continuous Quality Improvement, and collaborates closely with a staff of educational professionals focused on student assessment, program evaluation/educational continuous quality improvement, accreditation, and data and analytics.

This is a 1.0 FTE position; it is envisioned to be a 0.70 FTE position funded through the Office of Medical Education and an additional 0.30 FTE professional effort will be compensated by the individual's home department for contributions to that department.
