    Associate Specialist, Fundraising Innovations

    On our mission to help people and nature thrive, we are seeking an Associate Specialist to support and champion cutting-edge digital initiatives for WWFs fundraising and membership programs.

    Under the mentorship of the Director of Fundraising Innovations and in collaboration with our dedicated team, you will leverage digital tools to expand our membership and enhance engagement with our diverse group of supporters.

    The ideal candidate should exhibit proficiency in digital and interpersonal communication, have an in-depth knowledge of various fundraising platforms and digital channels, uphold exceptional standards of customer service, and be driven to spearhead innovative fundraising efforts.

    Major Function
    The Associate Specialist will support champion cutting-edge digital initiatives for WWFs fundraising and membership programs.

    With guidance from the Director of Fundraising Innovations and other colleagues, the Associate Specialist will tap into digital platforms to grow our member base and nurture and support our diverse network of supporters.

    Key Responsibilities
    Support the Implementation of Digital Fundraising Initiatives focused on emerging technology:

    Support the development and execute fundraising strategies with a primary focus on livestream platforms like Twitch, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, etc.

    Continuously explore and integrate emerging digital platforms and technologies to attract and engage new supporters, turning them into active fundraisers and members

    Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content and campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences and encourage supporter signup.


    Fundraiser Relationship Management:
    Provide exceptional support and guidance to individuals and groups engaged in various fundraising activities.

    Develop ongoing relationships with supporters including offering fundraising coaching and providing resources tailored to the scale of each fundraiser's efforts.

    Understand and actively engage with online communities to cultivate a pipeline of potential supporters, adapting strategies to maximize effectiveness.
    Responds to inquiries and requests in a timely manner.

    Event and Campaign Management:


    Organize and administer both virtual and hybrid fundraising events, adapting to new digital tools and platforms as they emerge, while maintaining WWFs commitment to data security.

    Coordinate technical and logistical aspects, ensuring high-quality execution and audience engagement.
    Develop comprehensive materials to recruit and support fundraisers across various platforms and events.

    Performance Tracking and Analysis:
    Monitor and evaluate the performance of fundraising activities, gathering insights to continually enhance support fundraising strategies.
    Prepare detailed reports on fundraiser engagement and campaign outcomes.

    Internal Collaboration and Strategy:
    Collaborate with different departments to ensure cohesive strategies and messaging across all fundraising activities.
    Complete all necessary tasks to ensure projects are launched successfully and in accordance with standards, timelines, and deadlines.
    Contribute to the overall development and innovation of the organizations fundraising efforts.
    Participate in exploratory discussions for innovative collaborations and sponsorships.
    Foster a culture of digital creativity and forward-thinking within the teams.
    Plays an active role on the larger Marketing and Membership team

    participating in team meetings and initiatives

    and engages with industry trends, exploring, researching, and offering ideas and innovation.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Skills and Abilities
    Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Must have at least two years of experience similar to in digital marketing, peer-to-peer fundraising, event planning, or community organizing.

    Adept in both digital and interpersonal communication, possess a deep understanding of various fundraising platforms and digital communication channels.

    Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service excellence and capable of driving innovative fundraising initiatives.

    Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with ability to write clearly, concisely, and logically.
    Proven ability to successfully work with members, colleagues from a variety of departments, and outside vendors.
    Capable of handling diversified assignments and highly adaptable.


    Skilled in leveraging the unique features of livestreaming platforms for fundraising and community building, including an understanding of chat moderation, channel points, emotes, and other interactive elements unique to these environments.

    Strong project management, customer service and organizational skills.
    Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload to set and meet deadlines.
    Ability to complete work independently.
    Experience with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop and eCRM systems is preferred.
    Proven track record of learning and adapting quickly to new technologies and opportunities.
    Able to travel, on occasion, as needed.
