    FULL TIME FLEET MECHANIC LEVEL A



    Frito-Lay is currently looking for a Full-Time Fleet Mechanic Level A to join our team at the Fayetteville Garage location in Fayetteville, TN. As a Fleet Technician at Frito-Lay, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet vehicles and ensuring the safety of our drivers.     • Tues - Sat 10pm-6:30am

    Job Type/Pay:
    • Full-time Mechanic position available in the Fayetteville Garage
    • Pay - $35.50 / HR
    • $1 Shift pay differential for off shifts
    • $7,500 Sign-on bonus

    Experience:
    • 5 years of previous experience with documented formal training
    • Ability to read pneumatic and electrical drawings
    • Preventative maintenance on all equipment
    • Tractor and Trailer maintenance background
    • Major and minor electrical with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot
    • Brake Systems
    • Air systems
    • Body (panels, frame, doors, etc.)
    • Welding and fabrication
    • Must have own basic tools
    • Fluid power systems
    • Hydraulic controls
    • Mechanical troubleshooting abilities
    • Electrical experience
    • Diesel engine repair experience
    • Basic computer experience
    • Able to diagnose and troubleshoot all repairs with limited assistance in a timely manner
    • Ability to identify warranty issues

    Other duties may include (but are not limited to):
    • Attend all training and required team meetings
    • Actively engaged in continuously improving results
    • Shop clean-up
    • Other duties as assigned by Resource

    As a Fleet Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our vehicles, diagnosing mechanical issues, managing parts inventory, and charging parts and labor to work orders. Your colleagues in the Fleet Department have shared some of the key tasks you can anticipate:
    • You will utilize your expertise to assist entry-level mechanics with challenging repairs
    • Return vehicles to the traffic center (CDL required)
    • Establish relationships with vendors for parts or labor estimates
    • Collaborate with various Frito-Lay personnel, from professional drivers to sales representatives
    • Be prepared for physically demanding tasks and confined spaces under vehicles

    This position requires an experienced individual with a CDL. Below are the minimum qualifications to consider before applying:
    • At least 21 years of age or older
    • May be required to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts
    • Hold a valid CDL
    • Able to lift 50 pounds or more with or without accommodation
    • Capable of performing physical tasks such as climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for extended periods
    • Comfortable working in tight spaces for extended periods
    • Expected to work under trucks for a full shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without accommodation
