    Job Posting Title AVP Assistant General Counsel - Litigation - Remote Job Description The Assistant General Counsel is responsible for leading Prime's legal efforts in the areas of litigation and/or PBM contracting. The position provides work direction to a team of legal professionals and has strategic influence across the organization, at all levels of leadership. Responsibilities
    • Lead, manage and strategically guide Prime's litigation matters, serving as a key partner and strategic advisor to internal clients, including senior and executive leadership across all functions of Prime.
    • Oversee Prime's Records and Information Management (RIM) program, lead the administration of Prime's eDiscovery platform, and provide support and leadership for Prime's employment counsel.
    • Develop, review, and maintain legal policies and operating procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations; lead the socialization, implementation, and on-going review of policies and practices to drive consistency, maintain relevance, and build a culture of compliance by design.
    • Develop and facilitate functional legal training for the business to mitigate and manage risk
    • Manage budget, staffing, team member development, and consistently demonstrate Prime's leadership expectations during interactions with reports, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
    • Serve as a key member of Prime's legal leadership function.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • J.D. degree and current state attorney's license with the ability to secure a Minnesota license within six months in the job
    • 12 years of experience practicing as an attorney, with a minimum of 5 years of experience representing managed care companies or other health care clients
    • 5 years of experience leading dispute resolution, handling government audits/investigations, managing complex litigation and employment-related matters, and managing outside counsel relations and budgets
    • 8 years of leadership/management experience
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

    • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, provide leadership, influence organizational behavior, and create alignment across disparate groups.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence business clients and effect necessary change in policies or behaviors.
    • Financial acumen and familiarity with common business finance principles
    • Demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications.
    • Demonstrated expertise within one or more practice areas required by Prime's business needs
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Demonstrated experience in federal laws and regulations such as HIPAA, Anti-Kickback, and False Claims Act, and those related to pharmacy benefit management and the managed care industry
    Minimum Physical Job Requirements

    Reporting Structure
    • Reports to the SVP General Counsel in the Legal Department
    Potential pay for this position ranges from $190, $304,300.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
