  • Build strong mentorship relationship with assigned student (mentees) to foster trust, communication, and motivation. (Leadership, Communication)
  • Identify potential barriers to student success, such as academic difficulties, financial issues, or personal challenges and work with the Retention Specialist to address these obstacles. (Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Communication)
  • Connect students with campus resources and services, such as tutoring, counseling, financial aid, and career counseling. (Critical Thinking, Communication)
  • Organize and facilitate group activities. (Leadership, Critical Thinking, Communication)
  • Promote retention initiatives, programs, and resources to increase mentees engagement, persistence, and success. (Critical Thinking, Communication)
  • Attend school events with mentees. (Leadership)
  • Other related duties as assigned such as attend family events, FYI, orientation, and school events
    • Qualifications
  • Junior or Senior
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in an office setting preferred.
  • Must be a current student at University of St. Francis and be in good standing with the university.
  • Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university
