- Based on California Early Childhood Education Teacher Credentialing for Child Development Assistant Permit: High School Diploma or GED and twelve semester units of early childhood education from an accredited school.
- Willingness and interest in pursing higher education in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development, or CDA.
- Must pass criminal record clearance and child abuse index check
- Must pass TB test and occupational physical
- Valid California Driver's License
