Job Description

As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
21+ years of age
Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by following Allied Universal site-specific policies, access procedures, and security-related protocols at a government facility.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and local authorities as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Monitor entry points, restricted areas, and public spaces for unusual activity, providing clear directions and reporting concerns through the appropriate channels.
Complete detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates during shift briefings and/or post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
