Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Maintain waitlists, monitor table availability, and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, or restaurant policies using excellent phone etiquette.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating flow and timely service.
- Handle guest concerns or special requests professionally, demonstrating strong guest relations skills.
- Keep the host/hostess station organized and ensure cleanliness standards are maintained throughout shifts.
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Knowledge of Open Table & POS systems is advantageous.
- Experience in hospitality, guest services, serving, or hotel operations is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential for success in this role.
- Prior experience with restaurant operations or food service is highly desirable.
