    As a member of the Rapid Air team, the CNC Mill Set-Up Operator will produce machine components using a computer numerical control, or CNC Machine. Responsible for operating and implementing machine processes as well as keeping accurate records of daily production while maintaining company safety and quality expectations. Pay will vary according on years of expertise in CNC Mill set-up.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    · Read blueprints for needed parts.

    · Build own tools, fixtures and set-up.

    · Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.

    · Basic CNC machine programming as required.

    · Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.

    · Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.

    · Inspect products for accuracy and uniformity.

    · Perform preventative maintenance on machines.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    · High school diploma or equivalent.

    · Five years or more related manufacturing experience.

    · Mill experience is required.

    · Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and gauges.

    · Ability to operate in a fast-paced changing environment.

    · Team player; but, able to work with limited supervision.
