    Duties


    • Serves as the program coordinator for the Human Performance and Wellness Program serving active-duty soldiers assigned to 06-level subordinate commands within the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).
    • Evaluates, analyzes, researches, and implements program guidance for the Human Performance and Wellness Program to validate current and future requirements.
    • Conducts education via briefings, classes, seminars, and/or workshops which include strength and conditioning, pre/rehabilitation, performance nutrition, and cognitive performance
    Requirements Conditions of Employment


    • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
    • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
    • Temporary duty travel is required up to 10% of the time.
    • This position requires a pre-employment physical and an annual physical once appointed to the position.
    • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315
    While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights

    Series Degree:
    Bachelor's or graduate (or higher level) degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position
    This degree must be from an educational program accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S
    Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained
    In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

    Specialized Experience:
    One year of specialized experience developing, planning, implementing, organizing, coordinating, conducting, analyzing, assessing and interpreting in a program such as for the human performance and wellness program and experience in implementing program guidance for the human performance and wellness program to validate current and future requirements
    Knowledge and understanding of kinesiology, dietetics and nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy, cognitive performance, and strength and conditioning
    Experience in creating, modifying program guidelines and processes, experience in advising Military Units and foreign military partners on human performance program design, testing protocols, metric collection, and personnel roles and qualifications
    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)

    For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted

    FOREIGN EDUCATION:
