    Description

    Job Title: Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) at Kroger

    At Kroger, creating an exceptional customer experience is our priority. We are looking for a Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) to join our team and help us maintain a safe and clean environment while delivering outstanding service to our customers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare bakery/deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment
    • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
    • Inform customers of specials
    • Provide fresh products in the correct portion size
    • Recommend items to customers
    • Use bakery equipment following guidelines
    • Prepare foods according to standards
    • Check product quality and freshness
    • Stock and inventory merchandise
    • Report discrepancies to management
    • Assist customers in locating products
    • Stay updated on current promotions
    • Have product knowledge and assist customers
    • Maintain inventory accuracy
    • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers
    • Adhere to food safety regulations
    • Practice preventive maintenance on equipment
    • Report safety issues and incidents

    Qualifications:

    • Customer service skills
    • Ability to handle stressful situations
    • Effective communication
    • Basic math skills
    • Current food handlers permit (once employed)

    Desired Previous Job Experience: Bakery or Deli experience
