Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy
Experience/Qualifications:
Current registered pharmacist in the state of Florida, board certification. American Heart Association, BLS for Health Care Provider, American Heart Association PALS certification.
Residency training and 3 years of experience in the specialized clinical practice area or equivalent experience (Required), Specialized residency training (Preferred), Self-motivated, Good interpersonal communication with physicians, nurses, etc., Problem solving skills, Work as a team player, Ability to use computerized information systems.
Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Manager of Pharmacy, performs all duties necessary to provide effective daily operation of departmental services and programs.
This includes compounding, labeling, and dispensing of medication and IV admixtures. Supervises pharmacy technicians in all work areas. Developing and implementing policies and procedures for specialized area of pharmacy practice. Provide clinical services to enhance medication administration and therapeutic outcomes. Provide clinical drug information to meet the needs of the healthcare staff. Participation in appropriate committees Provide support for department education including residents, interns, and students.Require up to 25% variable staff rotation to meet department needs including evenings and weekends, performs other duties as assigned.
