Global Maritime Market Sector Director

Primary Responsibilities:

• Market leadership and business development (60%), staff development (20%), support to Operations (20%):

The Global Maritime Market Sector Director sets the vision for firm's strategy to expand and provide services to clients in the associated market sector.

Responsibilities include supporting area business development and client management while defining and implementing key initiatives for growth.

Key areas include coordinating best practices and quality professional services, projecting the HDR brand in the marketplace.

Business Development Responsibilities:

• Oversight of strategic vision and direction for the market sector.
• Serving as Client Manager for selected key clients within the market sector.
• Promoting the marketing and delivery of all HDR services to clients within the market sector.

Staff Development Responsibilities:

• Assuming responsibility for Global Market Sector P&L in coordination with local area managers.
• Coordinating staffing/recruiting plans for key hires and assisting local leadership with local hires.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 20 years of experience in planning/engineering in the global trade arena.
• Engineering or closely related field degree and associated registrations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• A minimum of 12 years industry experience including leadership.

This position requires an estimated salary of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
