    Description

    This is a Customer Service position that is responsible for providing customer driven focus to process engineered solutions projects to customer. The Lead Engineer works directly with Project Managers to provide the technical leadership and oversight for projects. They may be required to interface with other departments internally as well as external suppliers. The Lead Engineer is key in the organization as a position that is responsible for delivering technical solutions to engineered solutions projects.

    Position Responsibilities:

    The Lead Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership for projects and works closely with project managers to provide the primary technical interface to customers. Generally, the Lead Engineer will work on all size projects. The Lead Engineer will be a working supervisor to other engineers assigned to projects. They may provide job assignments, attend necessary sales & project meetings, coaching/mentoring other team members, provide input on team members annual evaluations, and ensure that technical engineering templates and tools are maintained.

    Responsibilities

    •Provides technical leadership for Engineered Solutions projects.

    •Responsible for technical designs and solutions for engineered solutions.

    •Works directly with Project Managers as part of the project leadership team providing technical leadership.

    •Works closely with proposals team to provide technical designs for projects in proposal stage.

    •Works with cross-functional team in the delivery of Engineered Solutions projects.

    •Ensures that technical designs and documents are accurate.

    •Works directly with project managers to oversee technical deliverables from engineers and third party suppliers.

    •Builds and maintains strong internal and external customer relationships.

    •Supports internal and external customers ensuring their needs are being met.

    •Will lead internal projects to develop new tools, processes, and templates.

    •Participates in cross-functional teams to develop new tools and/or processes.

    •Will provide training, coaching, and mentoring to other team members, other cross-functional team members, and new hires.

    •Supervises engineering team members on assigned projects including assignment to projects, utilization of time, proper tracking of time, ensures proper execution of projects from a technical perspective.

    •Up to 25% travel may be required.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Requires experience with [specific platforms, technologies]
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering,
    • Computer Science, or technical field, MBA preferred.
    • General technical experience in instrumentation, control systems, manufacturing, or industrial equipment
    • Able to communicate as a leader within the team.
    • Able to train, coach, and mentor others.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Enjoy working in a team environment.
    • Highly motivated self-starter
    • Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
    Work Environment:
