Software Engineer - New York, United States - Northbound Executive Search

Our client, a well-established Alternative Asset Management firm, is looking to add a hard-working Software Engineer with a passion for technology and a can-do attitude to join their team within their NYC office on a long-term contract position.

Responsibilities for Developer:
Work with technical teammates and analysts – supporting the trading desk
Willing to acquire new skills and understanding of unfamiliar systems and business processes quickly
Building out CI/CD pipelines, including Git, Jira, and Azure pipelines
Microservices and Restful API development skills
Understanding of NoSQL databases like Cosmos and Mongo

Qualifications of Developer:
– 5-7 years' experience with Microsoft . NET technologies using C#
– Experience in implementing modern web applications using the best practices.
– Working knowledge of Trading platform, Portfolio management or Security master is a plus.
– Knowledge of Active Batch or scheduling job service.
– Ability to work, test and deploy in both Linux and Windows environment
