    Description


    An employer is looking for an individual with a GIS background to provide business analysis for a Gas Utility company in Los Angeles.

    This would be for distribution system engineering project(s) while following standard Synergi model extraction processes. Major activities include requirements gathering, troubleshooting, providing solution demonstrations, and assisting with implementation of the business-driven projects as necessary.

    Other activities include working with other project resources and business colleagues (internal and external), field operations and/or vendor partners to develop or shape business requirements, provide testing, and assisting with developing a delivery approach that minimizes both technical and business risks.


    We are looking for someone who can successfully deliver business analysis for Synergi, GIS and/or CAD project(s), including providing business analysis, troubleshooting, and testing support for delivery of major project milestones including any necessary stake holder communications, on-time and on-budget, meeting agreed upon project timelines for Company.

    Additional expectations include delivering business analysis, troubleshooting, and testing for model development, model deployment, and modeling support on-time and on-budget.

    Work with internal project resources across multiple cross functional groups including contractors and consultants. Provide point of view, troubleshooting, and provides analysis to address problems.

    Coming into the office 3 days a week for the first few months, then an option to work remotely more often.

    • 25 years of experience as a GIS Analyst within the Gas Utilities industry
    • Proven ability to extract and validate models for pipeline systems
    • Have worked with a Pipeline simulator software (Preferably Synergi)
    Nice to Have Skills & Experience

    • Proficiency in using CAD tools.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred, and/or certifications within GIS
