Job summary
The Wound Care Nurse coordinates treatments to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan-of-care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation, and outcomes for patients in the outpatient clinic and throughout the organization.Responsibilities
Performs wound assessment, reassessment, and management of wound patients per policy.- Utilizes principles of current wound management theory when providing care to patients with acute and chronic wounds.
- Participates in the education of clinical staff regarding skin protection.
