    Description
    As a PRN MRI Technologist at Memorial Hermann, you will perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create detailed images for diagnosis and treatment while ensuring patient safety and care. This supplemental role requires flexibility to assist with call coverage and high-volume periods, predominantly on weekends and evenings.

    Job Description

    • You will be responsible for performing MRI procedures on patients: preparing them for the exam, explaining the procedure, administering contrast when necessary, positioning patients for the scanner, selecting imaging techniques, and ensuring technical quality of the scan.
    • You will enter and monitor patient data.
    • You will perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and matrix camera.
    • You will identify and report any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures
    • Patient preparation and education
    • Data entry and monitoring
    • Quality assurance of equipment
    • Identifying and reporting incidents

    Requirements:

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
    • Licenses/Certifications:
      • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required
      • Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
    • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others
