    Direct Support Professionals
    Location:
     Denver, CO
    Salary: $20.00 Per Hour
    Hours: Shift days vary ... Mon to Sun
    (ON CALL NIGHT SHIFT AVAILABILITY )
    • Provide direct physical assistance, supervision, training/guidance and support needed by persons service for completion of activities of daily living (e.g. toileting, eating, personal hygiene, etc.).
    • Assist persons receiving supports with taking prescribed medications.
    • Complete and maintain required documentation.
    • Support person receiving services with planning and executing activities of choice in the home and community.
    • Participate in cleaning and maintaining the home and surrounding environment. These tasks may include, but are not limited to vacuuming, laundry, dishes, meal preparation from a menu, organizing drawers and closets, cleaning ovens, washing windows, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
    • Potential positions may require more medical coordination responsibilities and one on one support.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    · High school diploma or GED or C.N.A. with previous successful work experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.· Valid Colorado Driver's License, satisfactory driving record and the ability to drive a 10-passenger van with wheelchair lift.· Satisfactory CBI records check and other background checks.


    Typical Physical and Mental Demands:

    · Requires sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and reaching for assisting person receiving supports.· Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position.· Ability to successfully complete all aspects of the crisis intervention training-Safety Care.
