    Description
    Coordinates with CIO and IT staff regarding system management and operating procedures. Assists with development and maintenance of server and storage infrastructure. Assists with development and maintenance of network systems infrastructure. Install, configure, and support the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems.

    Evaluates, makes recommendations, develops implementation plans and implements new server hardware, network equipment, operating system upgrades, changes, and supports enterprise applications.

    Implement and manage VoIP phone systems. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Assists with writing and maintaining systems documentation.

    Works closely with other IT staff to develop, change and maintain systems that support, interact and affect other areas of the IT infrastructure.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops, implements, and maintains server infrastructure in a Windows environment. Including Active Directory, Exchange, and other systems as required
    • Develops, implements, and maintains network systems including LAN/WAN) remote access, security, protocols, and QoS
    • Performs, maintains and tests system backups
    • Coordinates with IT staff to develop, maintain and test systems continuity and disaster recovery capability
    • Cross-trains authorized IT staff in all areas of responsibilities as required and provides knowledgeable resources to management for decision-making regarding any within the scope of these responsibilities
    • Works on special projects as requested by CIO to assure timely and successful implementation of hardware, software and staff training
    • Assists IT staff with network (LAN/WAN) administration, development, monitoring
    • Provides Level 2 support for server, network and voice systems
    • Maintains telephone systems Agency wide
    • Communicates with vendors. Conducts product research and recommends feasible updates/repairs/replacements in accordance with existing market and agency needs.
    • Maintains and develops systems documentation
    • Cross-trains and assists in other areas of IT as required
    • Attends staff meetings, workshops and seminars to learn agency policy, rules, regulations and procedures; participates in ongoing in-service training as well as pertinent external training
    • Develops and implements standard operating procedures for IT functions
    • Establishes and manages change control policies and processes
    • Manages Help Desk priorities and staff assignment
    • Manages IT equipment ordering, inventory, and assets
    • Coordinates special projects and requested by supervisor to assure timely and successful implementation
    • Conducts product research and recommends feasible updates/repairs/replacements in accordance with existing market and agency needs
    • Ability to work in pressure situations to meet required deadlines; flexibility in work schedule
    • Technical writing skills and ability to train all levels of users
    • Must be able to manage and schedule multiple projects on ongoing basis with ability to prioritize and work independently and as a team member
    • Excellent verbal communication skills, including assisting and training non-technical personnel in software and hardware procedures and utilization
    • Assists in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
    • Supports and assists with the facilitation of Care Plans for consumers within the Red Rock Health Team
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Relevant Associate or Bachelor's degree


    • Microsoft Certified Engineer
    • Knowledge of healthcare environment
    • Six years of relevant experience
    • Knowledge of hardware and software, information and data processing systems, database management systems, TCP/IP networking and communication and basic programming logic and techniques
    • Three or more years of experience with Microsoft 365 Admin environment
    • Experience in Microsoft Hyper-V and Active Directory environment
    • Experience with VoIP technologies
    • Understanding and experience with LAN/WAN architecture and protocols
    • Excellent verbal communication skills, including assisting and training nontechnical personnel in software and hardware procedures and utilization
