- Must be able to use calipers, plasma cutter, belt sanders, and other manufacturing equipment.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

- Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
- Assist with monitoring quality of product/processes, quality audits, document control/updating, analyzing/tracking defects, maintaining quality system, writing work instructions and other items as needed.
- Check shipping racks for damaged and if damaged label and prepare for sending back to customer for repairs.
- Communicate with programmers and production any welding problems.
- Compare product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly. Ability to read and understanding product blueprints.
- Examine material or product for weld defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds.
- Pack and band shipping containers.
- Perform weld certifications.
- Perform weld etches according to company weld standards.
- Prepare all parts for packing (labeling and foam covers)
- Prepare Shipping Documents
- Perform weld macro analysis to compare weld parameters against customer/EETAM standards and provide feedback accordingly. This includes cutting, grinding, polishing and other sample preparation (as required)
- Read drawings to verify parts are prepared correct.
- Reject defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag.
- Supports and promotes EETAM core values, Environmental, Health and Safety Policy and Quality Policy.
- Understand basic weld principles.
- Use of Pax-It software and database to maintain accurate records of weld inspections.
- Use of PowerPoint and Excel
- Use SAP to look up customer call-offs.
- Verify specified dimensions of product or material. (Understanding Gages)
- Verify welding of all set-up parts and program changes as well as verify weld characteristics such as weld lengths.
- Conduct all business-related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
- Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all EETAM polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position involves working indoors around mechanical and hazards, fumes, irritants, with exposure to cold, heat and high noise levels under adverse conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
