    Position Overview

    The Pricing Business Partner will deploy and support robust and effective pricing practices across all business units globally.

    This role will be responsible for the development and execution of pricing analytics to drive profitable sales and revenue growth, while supporting overall corporate strategy.

    As a key business partner with the Sales and Business Finance organizations, this role will also champion the smart pricing platform as the internal system expert and liaison with the external partner.

    Job Responsibilities


    Pricing Analytics Centralization:
    Work closely with the commercial, finance, procurement, and other key business partners, to maximize business profitability by systematically employing key pricing levers

    Support pricing strategy implementation and performance tracking to ensure maximum revenue and profit growth for all business portfolios

    Develop a system of collection, documentation, review, and communication of internal and external comparative pricing data

    Assess and statistically analyze internal and external data from different data sources to generate insights about general market trends and pricing strategies

    Drive value by supporting deal executions to align with overall organizational goals

    Manage price-cost scenario building to support data-informed pricing decisions

    Monitor key metrics and market intelligence to derive insights and identify opportunities for evolving pricing dynamics

    Present findings to sales team and business finance team through cadence communication or meetings


    Pricing Platform Championship:
    Global point of contact for the smart pricing platform and other pricing tools for effective price analytics and price management

    Support development and implementation of pricing tools that are used throughout the company to respond more quickly to changing market needs or trends

    Coordinate with functional partners to ensure global alignment and execution of standardized and optimized pricing processes

    Create and lead pricing trainings for global implementation of pricing processes, systems, and tools

    Act as a liaison between external consultants and internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on prioritized pricing projects

    Self-starter with an analytical orientation, strategic vision, and strong execution track record

    Passionate about driving sustainable change and process improvement

    Confidence in making recommendations with the ability to be decisive when pursuing new courses of action

    Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required Skills

    Proven track record of analytical, finance, and/or pricing skills is critical

    Ability to build basic finance/pricing models using MS Excel (intermediate to advanced)

    Leverage a variety of statistical modeling methods to prepare reports that show the potential impact of pricing strategies, including their effect on margins and costs, operational trends, financial trends, and how they will impact profitability and sales volume

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Minimum Qualifications

    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Finance or Pricing for an organization in the chemical industry

    Education Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting

    Master's degree preferred

    Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) encouraged
