- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in manufacturing
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies
- Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
- Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Positions or aligns components and parts manually
- Cleans and maintains work area and equipment
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment
- Some assemblers will be required to cross-train in Sandblasting
- All employees are responsible for reporting environmental risks or hazards in the workplace.
- Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
- Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
- Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Detail-oriented and consistent.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
- Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
- Mechanical and electrical skills.

Job DescriptionSalary:About US: VDL Industries Gainesville LLC is company number 99 in the VDL Groep and the first manufacturing facility in the U.S. Operations are from a state-of-the-art, 150,000 square foot facility located in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The VDL Industries facility consists of the following work centers: laser cutting, metal forming, welding (MIG/TIG), electronic assembly/general assembly, sawing, drilling, shipping, storage opportunities, and Quality Control. VDL Industries utilizes a dedicated area for stainless steel welding and assembly operations.
