    job summary:
    We have a Contract-to-hire opportunity with one of the Largest growing Medical Device organizations. We are seeking a Category Manager to support their Global Indirect Supply Management team. This procurement expert will continue the consolidation of our supply base and drive company strategies.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree required.

  • Minimum 5 years of category management experience with multinational organizations, including marketing and learning involvement.

  • Demonstrated expertise in people, stakeholder, and project management.

  • Analytical and negotiation skills are essential.

  • Proficiency in coordinating multiple sourcing initiatives across various business groups.

    responsibilities:
  • Utilize internal partnerships to drive category strategies, manage pipeline items, and set short/medium/long-term goals to support product pipeline delivery.

  • Take charge of supplier selection, risk assessment, and contract negotiation for pivotal projects.

  • Establish effective Supplier Relationship Management programs for strategic and critical suppliers in relevant spending categories.

  • Regularly update Senior Leadership and key internal partners on progress.

  • Employ value-based techniques in negotiations for critical supply agreements.

  • Track and report on savings and incremental value achieved through sourcing activities.

  • Foster innovation by leveraging the supplier base, staying abreast of market developments, and engaging the internal network.

  • Serve as an inspirational leader within the organization, ensuring Baxter remains informed about current cost management trends and key marketplace solutions. #LI-LM1
