    Job Description

    Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented technical writer with Medicaid expertise. The Technical Writer will review and identify existing Medicaid policy and update existing documentation to clarify and explain complex policy. The technical writer will be responsible for creating a Medicaid tool that provides case workers clarity of policy and system action to result in correct medical eligibility determination. The writer will need to review technical documentation from both our eligibility system vendor as well as federal and state policies. The ideal candidate will be able to confidently interpret and develop complex materials to communicate policy and system complexities clearly to staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Review of existing policy and technical documents.
    • Incorporating policy changes into supportive documentation.
    • Development of a policy and technical tool.
    • Review and update data dictionaries regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business rules and requirements to changes.
    • Develop documentation for governance policies.
    • Build, review and edit technical documents for clarity, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions with multiple teams and individual team members to ensure proper understanding and utilization of technical documentation.
    • Establish, integrate, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for Medicaid, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and best practices.

    Preferred experience

    • Project Management
    • Technical writer experience
    • Experience developing policy documents
    • Ability to work independently
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Familiarity with data and analytics concepts, tools, and methodologies.
