Job Summary
+The candidate will prepare engineering plans under supervision, perform design activities, oversee junior designers, provide technical assistance, estimate quantities and costs, correlate interpret modify survey data into standardized base files. Assist project managers with budgeting maintaining project schedules deadlines.

Responsibilities
+- Efficiently prepare engineering plans under direct supervision of professional engineer.
- Perform design activities including grading culvert storm drain inlet calculations dry utilities etc Prepare feasibility studies including site investigations under direction of Professional Engineer.
- Overssee review work of junior designers drafters interns to ensure adherence to applicable CAD design standards Provide technical assistance subordinates Trainingteaching others by identifying educational needs training team members communicating training needs managementProvide quality control reviews prior submitting plans engineer Estimate quantities cost materials equipment labor determine project feasibility Also efficiently check quantities cost estimates prepared othersCorrelate interpret modify survey data obtained topographical surveys aerial images standardized base sheet files ie import survey convert AutoCAD verify coordinate systems supervise levelization Prepare job specifications contract documentsResearch local municipal state federal requirements design guidelines Assist project managers help ensure projects run smoothly completed time within budgetAssist projects manager with budgeting maintaining project schedules deadlines Other duties assignedSkills QualificationsApplicant must have Bachelor Science degree Civil Engineering ABET accredited college universityEffectively communicate supervisors peers subordinates clients consultants municipalities etc Self motivated deadline sensitive can do attitude Strong time management skillsExperience AutoCAD Civil3D Microsoft Office Suite)
