    Position Summary: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a crucial role in providing daily support and guidance to clients residing in the Intensive Residential Support Home. They cater to individuals with disabilities and mental health issues by assisting with daily activities and supporting them in achieving their goals. This includes tasks like meal preparation, personal care, promoting community engagement, and more. Additionally, the DSP is responsible for medication administration throughout their shift in a 24/7 operating environment, covering all shifts to maintain seamless support.

    Job Description:

    • Treat all clients with dignity, respect, and value.
    • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of clients under your care.
    • Promptly report any abuse allegations to the Program Manager.
    • Complete all necessary trainings and orientations within the designated timeframe.
    • Thoroughly document all activities on your shift, including service details, incident reports, and medication records.
    • Support clients in achieving their personal goals and provide necessary assistance.
    • Assist clients with daily tasks and personal hygiene as needed.
    • Administer medications if certified, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
    • Uphold client confidentiality and privacy.
    • Implement behavior intervention plans when necessary.
    • Report any unsafe conditions to the Program Manager.
    • Communicate changes in clients' situations promptly.
    • Accompany clients to appointments and assist as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with mental illness.
    • Preferred certification as a Medication Manager or Medication Aide.
    • Experience in handling individuals with challenging behaviors is advantageous.

    Benefits:

    • $20.50 per hour.
