Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This post requires a valid driver's license under AU driver policy requirements and an armed guard card or license. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.

Perform armed access control duties including checking identification, verifying authorization, managing visitor entry, and monitoring vehicle and personnel traffic to help to deter unauthorized access.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services when needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and warehouse areas, and the perimeter, using observation and security-related patrol techniques to help to deter suspicious activity.

Complete detailed security-related reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff documentation, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy issues through the proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.

Have a concealed carry weapons permit.

Have an armed guard card and/or license.

Be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
