The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NM Tech) performs nuclear medicine PET and theranostic procedures under a Radiologist's supervisionResponsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Performs high-quality nuclear medicine PET and theranostic procedures according to exam protocol Evaluates the quality of imaging procedures and follows established standards Maintains equipment by performing quality control as required by imaging manufacturers RAM or ACR Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment capabilities
- Caring Practices: Communicates with patients to identify service needs ensures the correct exam is performed establishes rapport with patients others Instructs communicates with patients family following HIPAA about the test assesses patient ability to tolerate exam
- Patient Safety
