    Category Social Services, Human Services, Case Management Description SUMMARYThe Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for the management of behavioral interventions and approaches that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in all OV programs.

    Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Program Supports, this role collaborates with Case Management and Program Managers to develop, train, and direct the interventions and supports appropriate to the needs of those we serve.

    Additionally, the BCBA manages the Youth Behavioral Services program that works with the Autism Treatment and Assistance Program (ATAP).

    The state funded program provides ABA services to persons diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) under the age of 20.

    Assist in the oversight of services provided to individuals with complex behavior support needs, crisis response, behavior management, and staff training on a continual basis.

    Consult with Case Management team for assessment of individuals and development of behavior program. Provide support and training for community individuals and collaboration with Service Contract staff for individuals with behavior programs.

    Attend PCP/Human Rights Committee/Behavior Intervention Committee (HRC.BIC) meetings as required Ensures compliance with State Agency requirements Assist in creating and maintaining close relationships with families, guardians, caregivers, other providers, regulatory agencies, funders, and the community.

    Adhere to professional and ethical guidelines for treatment staff, federal, state and county programs, laws and regulations.

    Supervises and assists case management team to ensure that treatment requirements for individuals are met and both internal and external deadlines are met.

    Write initial assessments and progress reports.

    Supervise Registered Behavior Technician (RBT's) in the direct delivery of ABA services, and provide the needed resources and guidance to assist clients, parents, and RBT's in the development and implementation of behavior protocols.

    May be assigned other duties as needed.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Behavioral Staff (BCaBA, Registered Behavior Technicians) and/or InternsPosition Requirements SKILLS REQUIRED Ability to communicate effectively with individuals receiving services and their families and caregivers, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written) to ensure a common understanding of programming needs and methodologies.

    Thorough understanding of the principles that guide the provision of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) and their families.

    Professional experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities program services and supervision of professional staff. Professional experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other comorbidities. Visionary leadership skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful and critical situations. Support, lead, mentor, and motivate high performing staff.
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.


    Required:
    2 years of experience working as a BCBA/LBA


    Required:
    Achieve and maintain current CPR and CPI certifications as a condition of employment


    Preferred:
    Seven to ten years effectively managing people and/or programs


    Preferred:
    Experience working with Nevada statewide intellectual and developmental disabilities services and programs.

Ability to travel to all OV sites and community partners in the Greater Las Vegas Valley.
