Job summary
The EMS Crew Chief is responsible for the timely and appropriate medical care and transportation of ill and injured patients for the effective operation of Emergency Medical Services.Responsibilities include responding to emergency calls, providing treatment to patients, transporting them to appropriate medical facilities,
and assessing their physical condition. The job also involves extricating victims from wreckage or confined spaces,
providing basic support procedures such as CPR and splint application, operating ambulances with life-saving equipment,
and administering medication. Additionally,the EMS Crew Chief must maintain vehicles,cleanliness of stations,and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
