    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Demonstrates proficiency by performing routine and emergency echocardiogram and vascular studies including but not limited to 2-dimensional, Transesophageal, Stress Echocardiogram, Carotid Doppler, PVR#s and Arterial Duplex as requested by the physician and in accordance with standard practices.

    Provides emergent call coverage for echo as scheduled. Operates equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and to obtain optimal diagnostic recording. Prepares preliminary reports for review and interpretation by the physician. Ensure continuing education and professional growth. Cultivates a collaborative and cooperative work environment within department.

    EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
    # Minimum Required:

    ######## Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Sonography program; or have completed a two-year Allied Health degree along with successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved School of Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent education # ARDMS/CCI Certification in Cardiac and Vascular within 18 months of employment # Maintains BCLS certification# # Preferred:#One year experience post graduation############### # ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/

    Process the ability to identify emergent abnormalities that need to be reported to the reading physician promptly# #
