Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team, and provide one-on-one treatment to our patients in a calm environment (typically 45-60 min sessions, max 8 clients/day). The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to provide effective treatment tailored to individual needs. This role involves working in an outpatient setting, with a focus on geriatrics, orthopedics, neurological conditions, post-op rehabilitation and prosthetic gait training.
Duties.
- Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, perform physical therapy treatments that address patients' individual needs.
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques to improve mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, exercises, and lifestyle modifications.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards while ensuring patient safety.
Experience
- Experienced PTAs and New Grads encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with systems used in managing patient records and care plans is essential.
- Experience working with geriatric populations, as well as in outpatient settings, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
