Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, providing expert electrical services primarily in multifamily home construction. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial electrical systems, with a strong background in blueprint reading and low voltage applications. This role involves working on construction sites, performing installations of electrical systems. The Journeyperson Electrician will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Install electrical systems in new construction commercial mutli-family highrise buildings. Using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute electrical projects.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low-voltage systems to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices such as ohmmeters and multimeters; diagnose faults efficiently.
- Follow NEC codes and safety regulations to ensure compliance during all phases of work.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and new technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician in new construction multifamily; required
- blueprint interpretation preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
- Strong commitment to safety practices on construction sites or industrial facilities.
- Physical ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment or materials as needed, and perform physically demanding tasks in various environments.
