- Participation in all activities related to clinical care and documentation of care, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and student supervision, education & training
- Teaching and supervision of psychiatry residents, psychologists, psychology interns, medical students as well as significant teaching of residents from all other specialties. He/she will participate in ethics meetings, court hearings, and multidisciplinary rounds.
- Direct supervision of Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychiatric PA staff and Medical Students
- Participate in our innovative integrative care activities
- Board certified in Adult Psychiatry (Or Board Eligible & within 5 years of completing residency training)
- Completion of an approved psychiatry residency training program
- Eligible for NYS license and DEA
- ABPN certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Psychiatric ER or CPEP experience
- Administrative/leadership experience
- Superior clinical, Diagnostic, interpersonal/communication and team-building skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Ability to make sound and timely triage, treatment, and disposition decisions
- Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines in the evaluation and care of patients

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding one (1) Child/Adolescent CPEP Psychiatrist physicians to the group at Jacobi Medical Center/North Central Bronx Hospital. The Hospitals are part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds.
The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Responsibilities
Our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) is a state of the art emergency psychiatry service. The CPEP provides a spectrum of multidisciplinary services designed to meet the needs of our diverse clientele in the most effective and least restrictive manner possible. Our 11,000 square-foot modern service includes separate pediatric and adult waiting areas, patient interview rooms, a patient holding area, and six extended observation beds. The Jacobi CPEP has approximately 700 registrations per month, of which over 200 are children. We also have an embedded Mobile Crisis Team that makes up to 75 visits per month.
The successful candidate will not only provide safe, comprehensive clinical care, but will have the opportunity to lead our robust Child Crisis Team, based in our CPEP. They will also have an opportunity to develop and oversee the clinical and administrative activities of a Child Telepsychiatry Service.
