Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent Graduate from an accepted course in Surgical Technology Required - 2 years' experience as a Surgical Technician Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association Certifications Knowledge Skills Abilities KSAs Effective verbal written communication skills ability to present information clearly professionally varying levels of individuals throughout patient care process Possesses expertise theory application sterile aseptic techniques Knowledge human anatomy surgery procedures implementation instruments technologies Maintains required clinical knowledge technical skills training credentials Adapts rapid changes department caused unit census patient acuity resource availability Performs direct patient care duties Organizes activities supplies based surgery schedule daily needs department Competently care provides services patients/customers specific relations age developmental stage supervision staff nurse Communicates information pertaining patient care needs patients family members co-workers
