    Educational Requirement:
    Associate's degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.

    Experience and Licensing Requirements:
    Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
    Minimum 1 year working in SNF setting and experience in Net Health
    State licensure or registration as a certified occupational therapy assistant.
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    Compassion and empathy for patients facing physical or mental challenges.
    Occupational Therapy Assistant License (Required)

    Job Summary:
    The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides quality care to all residents. Under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant ("COTA") helps plan and implement patient treatment, plan, and coordinate patient discharge, and prepare detailed progress reports and appropriate patient documentation. Treatments will include training in daily living activities, functional skills, motor development, compensation techniques, use of adaptive equipment and splinting. The COTA will not be expected to perform patient evaluations.
