    • We are looking for a nurse who can manage a high school student's healthcare needs that involve a trach, ventilator (at times), g-tube/tube feedings. The student is ambulatory, verbal, and is not cognitively impaired, she just has a complex medical profile.

    RN Qualifications

    1. Nursing License: You must be a registered nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license and licensed in Illinois (PEL).
    2. Education: A bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is often required. Some positions may prefer or require a master's degree in nursing (MSN) or a related field.
    3. Certification: Obtaining certification as a school nurse is essential. This certification is usually offered by the National Board for Certification of School Nurses (NBCSN) or similar organizations.
    4. Experience: Previous experience in nursing, especially in pediatric or school health settings, is beneficial.
    5. Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills are important for effectively addressing the health needs of students.
