- Manage the workflow and scheduling of repair orders to maximize productivity and ensure timely completion.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to repair technicians based on their skills and expertise.
- Monitor the progress of repair jobs and provide guidance and support to technicians as needed.
- Estimating parts and labor while working with the technician to ensure jobs are sold with everything needed to complete the job the first time.
- Ensure that all repairs are performed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with industry regulations and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with parts suppliers to ensure timely delivery of necessary parts and materials for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repair orders, including labor hours, parts used, and customer information.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the repair shop and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Provide training and development opportunities for repair technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in automotive technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive repair
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and components, including engine repair, electrical systems, brakes, and suspension.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of technicians.
- Proficiency in automotive repair software and diagnostic tools.
- ASE certification or other relevant certifications preferred.
