    Description

    Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Cloud and System Engineering, the Cloud Architect is responsible for providing strategic direction for cloud and system design, integration, and management across the organization.

    In collaboration with Cloud and Systems Engineers, and other key Information Technology Solutions (ITS) stakeholders, the Cloud Architect stays informed of emerging cloud architectures and assesses their viability within the organization's environment.

    The Cloud Architect designs builds, and deploys the overall cloud and system infrastructure architecture, working closely with developers to build, deploy, and migrate applications within the organization's hybrid cloud environment.

    The Cloud Architect also researches and informs colleagues on relevant cloud technology best practices and industry standards

    This position is classified as predominantly remote with occasional visits to campus as needed. Working hours will be based on Pacific Standard Time (PST).

    The full salary range for the Cloud Architect is $107,200 to $207,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is UP TO $155,000 annually.

    UCR bases salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

    Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
