Pay Range:
$19- $21/hrThe company is a leading telehealth provider of behavioral health care services based in Middletown, CT. We provide world-class clinicians to patients, virtually, in long term care facilities who wouldn't otherwise have physical access to specialized care. We are looking for energetic, hard-working individuals to help the company as we execute on our growth plan. The Intake Specialist will need to be an independent worker, detail-oriented, and have a sense of urgency. Additionally, they will have strong organizational habits and must have the ability to meet critical deadlines. The Intake Specialist is responsible for managing the daily patient referral and authorizations process.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide outstanding customer service to all facilities, patients, and patient familiesPatient registration and handling of all intake calls and emails for over 400 facilities across the USProcess new patient intakes by securing required information and authorizations necessary for treatmentVerify patient eligibility for insurance reimbursementSubmit patient information into the Company's Electronic Health Record SystemProfessional image in appearance, words and actionsEfficiently use payer portals to obtain claim status and authorizationsKNOWLEDGE,


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

3 years or more of previous experience in the healthcare industryDemonstrated understanding of the medical insurance eligibility verification processKnowledge of the medical billing processExperience with any medical billing or practice management softwareIntermediate to expert level skills in MS Office and MS OutlookMinimum high school diploma or GEDThis job description is not inclusive and there may be other tasks and responsibilities that you will perform as required.
