    GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
    Preschool/Head Start Lead Teacher in Preschool Classroom


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES ARE:

    • Ensure the development of secure relationships in classroom settings.
    • Ensure the development of each child's trust and emotional security
    • Provide opportunities for a variety of sensory and gross motor exploration
    • Support the social and emotional child development
    • Provide opportunities for physical child development
    • Full knowledge and understanding of all regulations regarding child development and education

    OTHER DUTIES:

    • Performs other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • At least an associate's or bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education, equivalent coursework

    Required Contact Hours:

    • 40 hours per week - 38 weeks per year (excluding earned discretionary and 6 holidays - New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Floater Holiday Day)

    Hourly Rate:

    • $ $19.50 per hour, plus benefits (pay scale higher for Bachelor Degree in ECE)
